SHRG: A Voice of Reason, an Agent of Change
The war in Sudan has left 80% of the country’s healthcare system in ruins. At SALAMAT Medical Charity , we realized that our existing medical campaigns, while vital, were no longer enough to meet a crisis of this magnitude. This led to the birth of SHRG. Before we even took our first step, we were met with an overwhelming wave of support from experts in every field—from medicine to engineering—ready to rebuild. SHRG isn’t just an organization; it’s a multidisciplinary movement to bring Sudan’s hospitals back to life.

Our Mission
Core Pillars of Action

Partnership
Collaborating with local leaders, international NGOs, and government bodies to ensure resources are used efficiently and efforts are not duplicated.

Capacity Building
Investing in training and infrastructure so that local medical teams can maintain and operate facilities independently over the long term.

Community Empowerment
We believe that every child deserves the chance to grow to their full potential. We are working at the grassroots level to empower rural communities through specialized training in food fortification. By integrating essential micronutrients into local staples, we are providing a sustainable, community-led solution to eliminate childhood malnutrition and prevent the irreversible effects of stunting. Together, we are building a healthier, more resilient generation from the ground up.

Knowledge Exchange
Facilitating the flow of medical expertise and technical skills between global specialists and Sudanese healthcare professionals.
Our Projects
“Sudan’s children are facing a second war—a war against preventable disease. As vaccination rates plummet, we are seeing the return of deadly epidemics. SHRG along other parties is on the ground to stop them. We are concentrating our resources on rural villages and war-displaced communities to provide essential vaccinations and pediatric care”. We are working in:
Rural Hospital Rehabilitation
Food is Medicine
Clean water and Medical aid
Targeted Impact

War-Affected Communities
Providing immediate relief and structural rehabilitation in areas scarred by conflict.

Rural Outreach
Bridging the gap between urban medical hubs and remote areas that lack basic health services.

Displaced Populations
Ensuring that those forced to leave their homes still have access to consistent, dignified medical care.

Helping Children Return to School
Addressing the critical challenges of malnutrition and child stunting and it's future implementations.
What People Say About Us
Professor Ibrahim Ahmed Elbadawi

“Hunger isn’t just a lack of food; it’s a healthcare crisis. Food is Medicine initiative redefines the response by providing medically fortified nutrition to those who need it most—children, the elderly, and the displaced. By bridging the gap between aid and medicine, we protect the cognitive and productive potential of our nation.”
